Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas ((:

It's always important to step back, appreciate and cherish everything that we have.

Results this semester was the best of my university grades. It was nice to get a decent grade, but I felt I could have done better. The bell curve probably doesnt help, as if I find the paper doable, everyone else will find it doable.

Nonetheless it's a good start to my 2nd half of my university life. I had a distraous first semester, but my CAP has been improving since (:

Thank you to my teammates.

4x100m bronze medalist. 40.62s

Did not have a particularly good 400m and 4x400m was a wasted medal. But I've analysed my training program and figured out what I need to do and missing from this year's training.

Next competition will be SAA's Track and Field Series 1 on the 16th and 23rd January.

See you there! (:

Roomie and teammate Elfi was simply awesome. His time of 10.59 in the 100m pipped the favourite from Indonesia. Amir came in 4th with a good time of 10.69s.

For the first time, I had the honour to sing our National Anthem as our flag took center stage.

Elfi Mustapa. Gold Medalist and ASEAN University Champion.

Calender 2011

The SAA 2011 calender is out.

And FINALLY. the 1st ever National Track and Field Championships will take place in June/July period. It's different from Singapore Open in that only Singaporeans/PR can take part, the winner hence being crowed Singapore's best.

Looking forward to that, as well as the ASIAN Track and Field Championships in Kobe, Japan.

SEA Games schedule is worrying though, as it will be right in the middle of November, EXAMS TIME; as this year's Asian games. The reason? they want to opening ceremony to be 11/11/11.

Singapore Marathon 2010

I had the privilage of taking part in this year's Singapore marathon race courtesy of ASICS, who is also for the first time, participating as the official apparel.

Plan was to run 21km, but with the hamstring injuries, I just ran 10km and stopped as my hamstring started to feel alittle uncomfortable.

Just nice anyway, ran all inside sentosa and universal studios. Car was parked in harbourfront, and 10km takes me just nice back to vivo (:

The route was fantastic by the way, ok only for the sentosa part, fun and refreshing.

Thumbs up to the organisers and ASICS!

On a side note, NUS and hall mate Mok Ying Ren won his second consecutive Singapore Marathon (LOCAL catagory), plus an amazing S$10000 as prize money!

Excellent job!

why why why

Injuries are fustrating. Very fustrating. Just when you have planned out the training schedule leading up to the big meet this year, injuries come.

2 weeks. 3 hamstring strains. Perhaps I should have taken more rest. But time is not on my side anymore.

AUG countdown. 13 days. :/

anyway, training today was good! 3,4,5,4,3 at quite slow pace but hamstring was good so that's excellent. then the rain came and so headed to the gym to do more dynamic weights. feeling ripped. hahaha

ok time to party :D :D i shall head to town in a million years.
