Picnic at BG

Yesterday Sharon and I planned some picnic at Botanical Gardens!

Ok so it's nearer to the Bukit Timah side than the Gleneagles side.haha

Nonetheless we got a lovely spot which we recee-ed a month ago, with a "power box" serving as a table to put our food stuff!

First off, picked up lunch, Tori Q, and went over to her place to hang out with baby the wabbit who cuddles up to me (: then helped carry the chicken pie and other stuffs n took bus n train to woodlands to pick up the oh so lovely looking cupcakes! headed back to the mrt station to pick up drinks and ice at 7-eleven which cheated our money as there was a shop and save like even nearer :/ haha anyway, had to relucatnly take the manual-geared taxi as it was first in the queue to BG. Once there, we set up our picnic area and stuff and awaited for the arrival of our guest. The weather was expectedly warm, but the grass as perfect, and the weather overall good. No threat of rain, and i knew it would be a wonderful evening ahead.

Our first picnic so we expected some errors somewhere like the ground sheet wasnt big enough, we forgot to bring table cloth, some entertainment(because i forgot that people didnt really want to perspire) Plus the still wind wasnt really helping! haha nonetheless, i flew my very first KITE! :D :D abiet by self generated wind velocity- by jogging.haha

But in the end, everything turned out pretty the way we couldnt have planned but it did turn out nicely! Like first Rachael Pang and Mel Chua came so there were four of us to chat and catch up, the Mark Koh came. And I had all those who came to play this game of standing 3 m behind this thin tree, then they gotta throw the frisbee and hit the lamp post another 3m behind that tree.haha Only those who managed to hit it then can eat Sharon's lovely cupcakes! :D but so sad sharon forgot to give her pri sch friends the cupcakes even though they tried so hard to hit it! haha plus did i mention a new personal record for my kite flying! Almost 10mins and the string was almost 15m!

Ok so after Mark Koh, Changxi and Yujia made their appearence, soon followed by Mok and Dinah, or was it the other way around.haha either way it was already 530pm and the kent ridgeans wanted to go back kr to watch the performance, we took a group photo and finally ate the delicious cupcakes! which met all expectations! i felt the sugary part was just perfect, like sugary but smooth and light to eat (:

After some crazy attempts at kite flying, YJ and CX left, but they were replaced by Sharon's prisch friends! So the numbers balanced out and gave sharony ample time to mingle with everyone.

Soon enough, the light faded as 7pm passed, and it really was getting dark. Thankfully, we had a lamp near by so that helped out when we were packing up! haha

I was pretty tired with all the running around flying my kite plus frisbee (: and sharon was equally pleased the way things turned out :D YAYY

Dinah n mok was kind enough to drop sharon and i at kr first before dinah had to send mok home all the way at tampines.haha Well back at kr it was the bbq thing again. so fast a year as passed. And reality strikes back. School is starting!
